I'm a SURFit USA certified SUP Yoga instructor. You'll learn the basics of stand up paddleboarding–including proper paddling technique, turning, navigating when conditions are rough, paddling through waves, water safety and more. Everything is taught within WPA (World Paddle Association) guidelines.
Yoga Sequencing on water: Developed specifically for SUP Yoga with poses that are uniquely adapted to use the paddle, board, and water to enhance and elevate the experience of your practice.
Develop better balance, coordination, inner peace, and body strength by linking Ujjayi breathing to asanas (physical postures) through a series of sun salutations in an energizing Vinyasa class. The connection with movement and breath will ease the mind and allow you to reach a sense of peace and tranquility.
If the weather is nice outside, we can go to a lake near you. There are also great pool options around the Salt Lake valley. We'll figure out what will work best for you!
I took my first steps onto a clunky 12FT Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) while I was living in Hawaii. I was immediately obsessed! It felt like walking on water and was a peaceful, yet exhilarating new way to experience the ocean. I fell in love with surfing and snowboarding while pursuing my BS in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training at UC San Diego.
